GP clinics
You can now find total quality healthcare in most regional areas of southern Tasmania. Our GP clinics in Bothwell, Nubeena and Bruny Island provide team-based care with many allied health providers in the same location.

Mini-hospitals
Our mini-hospitals at Franklin, Dover and Nubeena provide transition and short-term restorative care, sometimes called ‘sub-acute’ care. Whether it’s transition between a major hospital and home, or a few days to help you get you back on your feet – we’re here for you.

We can provide short-term care in your home or in our residential community.

We have a range of affordable rental housing in the Huon Valley. These modern, comfortable units are for independent people over 55 years who may not need in-home care.

In-home Care
Sometimes you just need some extra help. Now you can choose Huon Regional Care for friendly, local service that’s personalised for you. This may include light housework, garden maintenance, shopping or assistance with showering. We support you to continue to live a fulfilling life at home.

Nursing
Our experienced community nurses provide individualised care to help you remain safely at home. Our nurses will also work with other health care providers to ensure that you’re getting all the care you need.
Our nursing team can help you with a wide range of services including wound care, medication management, continence management, and end-of-life care plans. We are committed to supporting you to live the life you want at home in your community.
Respite at Home
Having a break from caring can relieve stress and help both you and your carer recharge. Short-term or ‘respite’ care gives your carer time to do some everyday activities, knowing that you are well looked after.
We can provide short-term care in your home or in our residential care community. We work as a team with you, your carers and your doctor to make a plan that works for you.
Social Activities
You can choose from a wide range of activities either within the Huon Regional Care residences or in your community. You might like to join our monthly ‘Eating with Friends’ lunch dates at Dover or Franklin!
We know how important it is to stay connected. Our transport assistance can help you get to appointments or social occasions and keep you in the loop.
